My wife doesn't like it. Not allowed it on when she's in the car!

I got mine at the weekend and to be honest, I am a bit disappointed. The sound is very artificially and if the engine is not revving high at gear change, then the gear change sounds crap. At very slow speeds around town it is slightly better, but at high speed it sounds like a drone in the back of the car that stays at a constant level and gives me a head ache.

I have seen on the Kufatec web site that you can add different sound maps and do some tailoring, has anyone tried this and got it to sound better ?

Current thoughts is to put it on Ebay if I can not do any fine tuning, would be interested to hear peoples experiences ...

I plugged mine into the laptop and turned off that stupid power start *****. I've also changed the sound map to go quieter at higher speeds. I'm pretty happy with mine and have always had people complementing the sound it makes.

I agree though, certain settings just sound artificial and not very good. I played around with sound setting 3 and 5 and got the best results.

It's a bit of a gimmick and I frankly miss true engine sound, but at least this does a good job of masking the diesel clatter

I was tempted by one of these, as quite like the standard noise with the active sound turned on, so was thinking be nice to ramp it up - I dont think that sounds artificial, and most people thought the car was V8 on first hearing due to the low rumble it gives. I have heard Golf R's etc which sound very fake, and so would be disappointed spending £240+ to find that it made it sound louder, but more fake. Think I will save the cash.
