Arrived this morning and fitted it already, was a bit harder than I thought as I had to remove all the trim from the right hand side of the boot.

Managed to get it in and the button located near the OBD port, so it's completely hidden and out of the way but easy to press when driving.

The tick over noise is nice in all modes with 5 and 6 being very loud, much louder than I thought, however revving the engine while stationary produces a very artificial sound (which I know it is anyway) and I am just hoping it sounds better when driving it. Off on a 70 mile motorway drive later so we will see.

    Hi,
how you getting on with the Kufatec? Are you happy with it? Have you had any issues with it, eg error codes, undue attention from the police etc etc?

I like it, the sound it makes certainly turns heads. There have been no issues at all, no error codes or anything.

There are 6 noise settings, 1 - 3 are a little bit quiet, 4 is the best for every day driving, 5 is LOUD and if you're driving around town it's the best one for turning heads, makes a proper v8 rumble. Setting 6 is a little artificial and supposed to sound like an R8, it's a bit too high pitched for me.

    Recommended - yes!

Thanks for the feedback. Did you have problems routing the switch through to the front of the car?

No really, the switch is attached and wrapped in standard automotive insulating tape, I tucked it under all the trim along the drivers side of the car and then drilled a small (6mm I think) hole near the OBD port to attach. The hardest part is removing the boot liner but I could have done that easier by opening the hatch I think.

30 minute job maximum and very little knowledge required.

    Hi
forgot to ask - can you switch it off or do you have to have at least one of the settings running? Not sure if my wife will like it!

Yes, with the sound in the MMI set to Dynamic that means it's on, then you have 7 settings, 1 being off, 2-7 being different types of sound.

Also if you set the MMI to anything other than Dynamic it's completely off.
