warning light buzzer for headlights.

Hi all, just a quick question for the forum, my headlight warning buzzer no longer sounds to warn me of leaving lights on ( as i found out this evening, having left them on allday @ work = deadbattery ). is this a fault that can be rectified ?. any help much appeciated ! ..... thanks Simon.

It could be number of things.
Does the drivers door open show on the DIS, do the interior lights come on when opening the door.
The buzzer can fail, I have had to replace mine.
There is a "how to" over on ASN.

Hi,
driver door open DIS shows, interior lights DON'T come on when opening the door. Took the car for repair and now it buzzes twice when I unlock and once when I lock, regardless of the headlights being on or off. Help please.
Actually my post relates to Golf V5. Don't know how I got into this group.
