    Hi all, just wondering would it was possible to turn my 2.0 tdi s line in to a Quattro?

    the 2.0 never was available as a quattro, the floor pan is (probably) different too to allow for the rear diff/prop etc.

    why you'd want to is beyond me, especially on a 2.0.

    Anything is possible, but will be a tonne of work and expense and may be cheaper just to sell up and buy a Quattro.

    Off the top of my head, Quattro transmission, drive shaft, rear subframe with new exhaust due to routing, fuel tank - would need an entire Quattro donor car to be fair. There may be issues as I'm not sure if the 2.0 tdi has the same underbody as Quattro models so potentially more work still.

    you're totally correct. people who convert everyday cars to 4wd are mad.

    probably wouldn't get approval from the dvla either, making something that was never meant to be built.
