Thanks SGH1, and yes, i feel your pain - was passing an Audi dealer in London yesterday and went in for a look (just to keep the dream alive!), and spent a lot of time drooling over an S5 in Sepang & wondering if i had made the right decision going for Kingfisher. There is an Audi dealer down south (Harold Woods i think), advertising an RS6 in Kingfisher blue but unfortunately there are no pictures available as of yet on the web that i can find - it would give me an idea of what my car will be like in the flesh. I would have loved an RS6 but was just financially a couple of steps two far for me. If you are in the Glasgow area, i will watch out for you - my RS6 detector is always switched on!

Great choice of colour, I am definitely a blue car fan (Owning 4) but as the A6 is my partners we changed her Daytona grey for something more interesting .... Misano Red

The red is epic, the colour almost burns your retinas, looks different in every light, angle, doesn't show the dirt, etc. but the biggest problem is that any knock and it shows really badly.

We ordered our on 19th March and were really happy when the car arrived well in advance of the August delivery deadline on 8th May but we didn't in fact pick it up until 23rd May as I wasn't happy with the wheels !!!! We ordered the twin spoke options and what was not clear was the fact that they are Matt Titanium rather than black as they look on the configuration tool. I said that I wanted them black as then the car only has 2 colours (Red and Black) therefore Audi Swindon sent them away to be dipped & stripped, painted gloss black, diamond cut then lacquered. Obviously the nuts and centres needed changing as well. I hope you'll agree that the effort and wait were worth it (I can post a picture of the pre-delivery wheels in Titanium if you like)

Misano red is a great colour - my last A6 was this colour and i loved it so much, i almost ordered it again, but i really wanted a blue car. They have done a great job with your wheels. I have gone for the bright alloys as i think they will contrast well with the blue.
Enjoy your car - it looks lovely!!

Are these wheels different to the standard titanium look 5 spokes? I thought they look darker than the ones I've seen.

Dealer contacted Audi Factory who explained that the delay was mainly due to a shortage of bi tdi engines + the wheels/interior that i specced. I am hoping that it might be brought forward to squeeze it into the last quarter of the year.

As long as you like the wheels that's the main thing but I think they looked better pre-dleivery. The gloas black makes them look smaller and not keen on gloss black - makes them look aftermarket IMO

    Very nice car though
