    i have this chrome strip on my rear bumper, i was just wondering what it is held on by and what would the easiest way of removing it?

    I've never seen a chrome strip in that location (but may be wrong) so would imagine was added aftermarket?

    Sorry can't help more, if stuck on hair dryer and dental floss seems to be the preferred method of removal of badges so same would probably apply/remove

    Looks like it goes back a fair bit so may prove tricky.

    The chrome bumper trim (face lift A6) is clipped into the bumper you have to remove the bumper and gently lift the clips out of the securing slots.

    There is a good likely hood that you may snap off the clips as they are on tight.

    Cheers both, wasn't want i wanted to hear really lol, didn't really want to take the bumper off, but there we go. Hopefully the condition under it will be out then i wont need it.

    I had a rear ender and the chrome strip came off.
    Here is a pic showing how it was held on.

    Arghhhh even better news lol i was hoping it was just stuck on and it would be nice and painted under it, I'm going to have to get it wrapped now

    Not sure if a pre-facelift bumper without the strip would fit.

    The pre facelift bumper wont fit due the different rear lights.
