Head up display

hi all, Question - on my head up display (A6 14plate) , on all the brochures/promotional photos , they show the current speed limit in a RED circle . mine doesn't
i have checked all options in the MMI , any ideas? i looked at the VCD and nothing there ....

any ideas?

Sorry no. Mine has always shown in a red circle.

Does it show in a red circle on the DIS?

hi Buster, yes the red circle is on the pop up display ...humm looks like i will have to ask Audi to look into that on the next service - first 1
mate , i think we have the same model here , what mpg are you getting ? mine has just done 6500miles and i had a 50mpg (1st time :O) ) going from midlands to rochdale (M1 ave 50mph helps :O) the other day but finished up at 46mpg when i got home - air con ON and traffic jam etc ...

Lol, sneaking an undercover MPG thread in. I'm happy with my 41mpg average all told. I didn't buy the car for fuel economy!

I think the key is whether you have the optional Speed Limit Display, too. If you don't then all you see is your speed in the HUD; with the optional Speed Limit Display, you see your actual speed as a figure above (?) a roundel display, which is the currently detected speed limit, which is often-as-not wrong, in my experience.

Thanks all , the car was a demonstrator so i don't know what extra pack there is - i have got the active lane showing the 2 white lines on both sides , and i have active cruise , Blue arrows for satnav too but no speed limit red circle l , just checked the MMI options too - satnav and lane assist were the 2 options only .

Think you only get that if you have the Speed Limit option (brochure says as much)

The following are displayed, however some are dependent on additional options being chosen:
- Road speed
- Navigation instructions
- Adaptive cruise control status, distance from vehicle ahead and set speed (optional)- Warning messages from optional night vision assistant (optional)
- Infotainment lists
- Audi active lane assist (optional)
- Speed limit display (optional)

I'm not sure if infotainment lists show up, anyone have this feature

I've never seen the entertainment list in the HUD.

I've never seen any info on the adaptive cruise show up in the HUD either. Though I can't be certain that I've used the cruise while I've had the HUD on.

Definite yes to ACC info in the HUD and - like everyone else - I have never seen any indication of the Infotainment lists there.
