My guess is someone has tried to code the dipping mirror function. Audi A6 (4F) Door Electronics Driver - Ross-Tech Wiki

Try deducting 128 from your current coding of 0002714.

Opening the door shouldn't make any difference. I assume the car is CAN for diagnostic... can you press "Gateway Installation List" under the Auto Scan screen?

Sorry to resurrect this old thread, but I have the exact same residual issue.

I've been trying to track down and eliminate a number of electrical issues, and this VCDS error is the only one remaining. Like the OP, I don't have memory seats in my A6, nor does it have memory steering.

It's entirely possible (fairly likely) that I experimented with the list of "code upgrades" whilst fiddling with VCDS a little while ago. My VCDS error is pasted in just below. Should I also try to remove 128 from the current coding of 3738?

Turns out that I was right - I removed the calculation amendment I must have made in the past by deducting the number in the post higher up, and the Fault has disappeared in VCDS and not returned. Looks like I tried to activate a feature "dipping mirrors for parking" that the car simply didn't have... All sorted now though.
