TDI Quick Question!

Hello! Having had a few Passats (B5 & B5.5) and an A4 (B6), I'm ready for a B8!

But, I have been researching common problems and found this info on a site called torquecars.com stating that the VAG have issues etc… but they mentioned tdi 2.0 litre (CAGA) with cracking head cylinders 'issue'! A,B or C heads…??


Have I got the wrong end of the stick, or them? I know the issues on the B7s, including head cylinder problems.

No, not on this section, seems odd, as the list of VAG other CR engines, that one (caga) was included, I reckon if people that encounter something like that would share it! Must be ok!
Oh well just the HPFP instead then lol.
I was hoping that VAG had sorted things out!

I believe the 2.0 diesel CR engine is pretty reliable. I've taken my 2008 from 95k to 134k in the past 4 years and had no issue at all. I haven't even seen the DPF light once despite doing mostly town miles
