I changed my turanzas for michelins. Far better tyre-better handling, faster turn in and more accurate. I hated the turanzas and didn't trust them-sliding coming out of corners and really poor in the wet. Michelins are far superior and quieter.

Had the turanza on my pre and they were good till about 4mm then awful in wet/damp conditions but ok in dry. At about 4mm the road noise was significantly higher.
Got the f1 on the fl and they are good in wet and overall a nice tyre for every day use. Comfortable and quiet and these are in 19s compared to the 18s on the pre. Can't comment on wear but 4500 miles and they still look new

I'd vote Mich since they look after my pension.

Would go Pilot (Super) Sport rather than Primacy, and PS3 is quite an old pattern now so check for most recent DOT codes; good enough but technology moves on. PSS will be better if expensive, but only you know how much stick you give your car and whether the upgrade from Primacy 3 is worth it.

I've been monitoring wear of the Goodyear F1 i have on the front of the car They've been run with 29 psi since new. Since the contis wore in the middle. Well the Goodyear's are now starting to show signs of the same wear. I'm reluctant to reduce them further. Any advice? Maybe being then back up to the recommended pressures..

Thanks for reminding me, have to go let some pressure out of mine now. How are they doing for wear?, got a set of those last week and I am very impressed, transformed the car.

I think they are wearing well. Better than the Conti's. They are excellent in the wet. They're a little less direct with the pressures dropped to 29psi, but it's a compromise in willing to make if the tyres are to wear consistent across the thread.

Mines quieter, smoother, and seems to turn in quicker, great tyre!

I'm changing from the 2.0tdi to a 3.0tdi and the dealer whos buying the car from me had a good chat. One of the things I mentioned was that the fron tyres on the A6 tend to wear in the center when run at the recommended pressures. He said the guys in the audi garage know of the issue and run the front tyres at 28psi to compensate for it.
Useful information for others suffering the same issue.

Surely if you're doing mainly motorway miles then the tyres are going to run hotter and the pressure is going to rise leading to centre band wear? Of course this won't apply to the M25 nor the M6 around the M62 junction
