RAD 2005 Hoist Lift Bike Rack Hanger Storage Pulley Bicycle Garage Shed Mount | eBay

ok, am thinking of these. i have a few for all my bikes and they work well but not sure what weight they will lift. alternatively you could use some pulleys and rope and make your own with a lower gear ratio to lift more weight. i got mine in lidls for a fiver each.

    more questions ...

    1) the 2 studs that you put the nuts on to ( 4 mm allen key) hold down the left & right rear mounting brackets, what are they for?is there a set height for them as when fitting the brackets the man I got it from just removed them & put the ones he removed off his car on complete with the nuts.
    2) do you have to remove the rear mounting brackets every time you take the roof off ?
    3) is there a winch kit available to lift the roof off & lift to the garage roof ?
    (BMW do one)
    4) approx weight of the roof ?
    Any ideas any one ??
