I'm still stripping right down and all gaskets and bearings changed. And none of them are plus size either

Getting there slowly. Will finish degreasing the block tomorrow then give it a lick of paint ready for the rebuild.

Managed to source some main journey shells. Which I'm collecting tomorrow. Started fitting parts tonight and cleaned the. Block a little more before hand.
    So far I have fitted:
the middle shaft with new seals and fixed into block.
Fitted distributor with new seals aligned to timing points and fitted to block.
Fitted new water pump and thermostat
Fitted oil filter and cooler housing.

    Tomorrow I'll be fitting:
    crank shaft
    Pistons
    New shells all over
    New oil pump
    Sump and new gasket

    Hopefully fit.

Cylinder head and get the engine timed up and ready to install.

I put the short block in last night. Was a complete a****ole to line up with the gearbox. But got there with help from a friend.

Head on and lined up. Was getting very dark at this point.

Head is on times and a few things wired up.

I got the alternator on today and water pump pulley torqued on as well as the last of the wiring, pipes and oiled up. Just got one water flange on the right hand side of the head to replace as my dad through it out during the rebuild . But ran her for 20 secs to make sure she runs and she sounds lovely
