Hi, just wondering if there is a way for ourselves to update the maps as I have come across a couple of destinations recently where it's only showing as offroad.
Is this something easily done by myself? I have the nav with the HDD

Hi, I think you'll find It's a dealer only jobbie. Damn expensive as well. May be wrong though, hope I am.

Surely its well within our rights to have the nav updated free of charge as with any sat nav.
The same as when we update the firmware on our phones we dont get charged for that...

OK, tell the dealer that, I'm sure they will agree.

I think owners should stop paying for map updates until the dealers do them for free.
    That'll show them...

From the introduction of the facelift those with the HDD Navigation get 5 free updates (one every 6 months) for the first 3 years of ownership.

Sadly the car manufacturers have to pay external companies for the new map data so they are passing the buck, I am lead to believe their are certain internet sites with map data posted cough cough, people allegedly upgrade their little portable systems suing this data. Not sure how how easy it is to do with a built in Audi MMI.
