    Hi guys,

Just wondering what your thoughts are on uploading pics with your cars full registration on display.

Do you think there are any risks involved when doing so?

The guys who censor theirs out, why do you do so?

    Just curious really

I blank mine out. There was something on TV a few years ago that showed people lurk on forums/the Internet and find regs of similar cars to theirs and then make up the plates and go about their daily business. It's then you that's liable for speeding and parking tickets as the cars look the same so the police have no reason to pull it.

Hard to prove it wasn't you and it's a case of fraud too.

Nothing, but it's far easier to google "Audi A7, 3.0l, Daytona grey" (for example) rather than finding one in the street.

Did you upload them with photo bucket? If so you can edit them in there to hide your reg and it will update wherever you have the links.

sure, a crook can walk the streets, look on google etc, but find one on a forum like this, with the persons location and user name, and do some work and you can have a lot more info, better if you can get the exact name, which some people do use. so, from the reg you get the chassis number, then the owners name, the full spec if thats on your forum page, and their address. childs play.
