A3 2.0 tfsi

Been doing some research into these and have read that many 2.0 TFSI engines burn a lot of oil and if you are out of warranty you are out of luck? Or is this just limited to the 2009-2011 models I've seen a A3 with 107K miles, reasonably priced with great spec but was wondering if I should just avoid it like the plague due to issues? It's a 2006 56 plate 2.0 TFSI with 200BHP. Is there anything specifically I should be looking out for when I go to inspect the vehicles? I have VCDS so could also take that along and plug it in and do a scan if the dealer is happy.

I bought my s3 on october 22nd do a 10 mile all round road trip to work on a daily basis.odd 70 mile there and back motorway journey on weekends and the odd time of putting my foot down defo wouldn't say any excessive use...and the oil light came on on New Year's Eve. So I'd say every 3 months it needs topping up on a s3
