    Hi All
    need help with my above car rear tail lamps are shining very bright and only high level brake light works Have replaced both bulbs and cleaned contacts all seem ok
    tail lamp and brake light work on same bulb have 12 volt on tail lamp no volts when brake pedal pushed Any help welcome

    You might have a failed brake light switch, on most VAG cars have 1 on the brake pedal.
    A4 2.5 tdi QS (mapped)

    Hi Kite

    had a look today do not have switch on pedal but seat parts say there is sensor on the master cylinder they call a hall sensor which works the brake lights
    will try to remove it and see what happens and advise on that switch??
