why?? did you look at the measuring blocks in module 76 as advised?? can't remember which group it is but they show you the distance they read, with nothing on front of them they read i think 255cm.

They all read 255. No changes if you walk in front or behind

Maybe it's not a sensor that's faulty then. Maybe it's a wiring fault. I've had a few VWs with wiring behind the bumper chaffing to the metal crash bar. Each sensor has a common supply & earth so if one of those has been damaged none of the front sensors would work.

Used measuring bloCks ... I can say that the rear parking sensors are working ... They show a change on measuring blocks . and after doing the fingernail test, they are all ticking and I can hear the tick .....

The fronts are dead .... No change on advanced measuring blocks and no ticking

It could be a wiring fault, but non of the fronts show any sign of life

None of them would if the voltage supply or earth wires were damaged. Those two wires are connected to each of the sensors so a fault with those wires would effect all the sensors.

Hi,Is the switch lit up all the time? Then when you put it in reverse you just get a constant annoying tone.
I had the same problem last week when my washer pipe came apart and flooded the passenger footwell and under the seat of my VW Sharan. The reverse sensor module under the passenger seat was wet through. So l dried it out but still the same. Then l made alot of phone calls round scrapyards and found one on a ford galaxy with the same numbers.£15 l plugged it in and hey presto everything was back to normal. Hope this helps.Dbf5y.

If I had a pound for every time I've come across that fault on a Sharan.....I'd be about £3 better off
