Want DAB in my 2007 A4 - what options do I have?

FM radio is truly horrendous these days, CDs repeat too often. My A4 audio choices are currently massively hampered the factory fitted concert 2+ (or I have seen it called concert 3). I would love to get DAB (and if possible USB and or Bluetooth) but both the kits I have seen require steering wheel audio controls ( which I do not have)Am I totally screwed ? Will I forever have to endure FM radio dross?

What options to I have to listen to some proper radio stations and a large choice (more than can be fitted in MP3 onto a CD) of my own music?How necessary actually are the steering wheel controls?

I don't usually channel hop. I find what I want to listen to, and then leave it for the journey.

I have seen AutoDAB and Dension products, but they both subtly state about the steering wheel controls. What function does the steering wheel control actually serve? Is the product still usable without?

I have fitted a Sonichi dab receiver bought from Halfords for £49. You will also need a screen aerial. The unit is very good, equally as good as products twice the price. No need for steering wheel controls and it is easy to use. Have a look at the reviews on the Halfords website.
