    Hi

Over the last couple of weeks I've had a flashing glow plug light on the dash. Car starts fine from cold and no problems day to day.

Just wondered could the flashing be something obviously not related to glow plugs but some other kind of engine management fault. Everything appears to be okay, lights etc.

I'm going to try and get it plugged in later this week, but just wondering if anyone knows more info.

    Thanks.

Can't guess until it's scanned but in the meantime check your brake lights are working.

Yes, could be related to brake lights or brake pedal switch. See here. A fault code scan would help to diagnose.

I had the same problem on a mk3 golf tdi I pulled the interior apart ready to fit a new brake light switch when a mate told me one of the bulbs was out. Replaced bulb problem solved. So defo could be something related to the brake system.
