    Hi,
    I recently traded in a 07 plate A6 for my current 11 plate A3 S-Line 2.0tdi.
Anyway, an old problem that really did my head in with the A6 was the rear light lens when changing a bulb as the design was a disaster whilst trying to remove it to change a bulb. After a brake light went on the A3, i discover that the same design is still being used on the A3 that was on the A6. ie, you remove the rear nut from within the boot and the unit should (In principle) pop out!
I knew the idea of how this monstrosity of a design worked, so i loosened the rear nut, wiggled and pushed in the direction its supposed to go and lo and behold it refused to budge from its rear mounts. Therefore, i tried to carefully prise it by the assist of a spatula in the small gap next to the bodywork, but still it wouldnt unplug from the rear mounts.
With a little more force, the inevitable happed, the inner lense seal cracked away from the outer lens and created a lovely gap for water to ingress.
New lense purchased... Thank you Audi! Quality design!... Not!
I thought they would have learned from the massive amounts of complaints from the A6 as it was definetily a design fault, obviously not!
