Tomas, please don't rely on others being psychic or having read your previous threads, state the full facts up front, otherwise it just wastes everyone's time

You definitely purchased the one with computer control? If state your year and engine size and perhaps forum members with the same can offer there coding for you to try...although I appreciate there may be small 'country specific' variants due to most forum members being UK based.

MarkTM, yeah sorry about that. Multi tasking when posting does not end up that we'll. Will update my first post with car info.

A6 c6 2009 2.0 tdi 170hp with MMI 3G but red DIS with computer (showing standard screen with fuel range)

I see that I have a small 1 top left of fuel range also.

To be fair I'm a bit shocked on this one, it's the first time I've ever hear of an A6 without full DIS, I didn't even know it was an option. In the UK I think you either got full red DIS or colour. That's why I wrongly assumed you retrofitted MMI 3G...

I take it you can now switch between computer 1 & 2 and see all the other options in the DIS?

Well it sound like the steering wheel control module is not correct, on the A4 there were highline and lowline versions, lowline not having the DIS option (not sure if that is applicable on the A6) what is the part number of your steering wheel control module, you can find that information using vcds.

I will look into this when I got time, lot on my plate right now lol. But when coding in VCDS I get what is installed, and the steering wheel module was programmable to use the DIS comp, but still my question is do I need to change any adaption channel in Instrument or SteeringWheel or is it enough with only programming? Because if it is only programming I might need to check the functionality of the stalk since I bought it used from a crashed car. But first I want to correctly program everything and see if it works.

You have any idea? Is it the same programming of Adaption as for A4 found in the thread which explains retrofit DIS & Cruisecontrol on A4?

    Kind Regards,
    Tomas

No idea bout the adaption as it's not listed on the ross tech wiki. So as long as you have changed the coding Audi A6 (4F) Steering Wheel Electronics - Ross-Tech Wiki then it should work, but the module may except the coding but the software to run the DIS my not be present in your module.

Steering elec.module only one type, item 4 this diagram Link:- AUDI A6/AVANT [A6] (EUROPE) 2009: ELECTRICS: 95350. STEERING COLUMN SWITCH; AND TRIM

Now when you say I enabled via hidden menu car you post screen shots of what you did?

In hidden menu select car, then carmenuoperation, for instrument cluster do you have a 5 there?
