    Hey, I'm new to this so forgive me if I post anything in the wrong place or what have you! Iv an issue with my golf gt 07 reg.. The near side indicator on the wing mirror doesn't work and as this is an not fail I want to try sort it before the dreaded MOT!

    iv replaced the indicator with a new led strip but to no avail...

    Does pes anybody else have and experience of this or any advice to what it could be?

    It would be worth having a look at the wiring between the car body and the door. The loom routes through a rubber tubing and can be unplugged at the A pillar.
    If you look at where the rubber tubing connects to the A pillar, on the top you will see a little wedge. If you pressing down on the wedge will release the rubber tubing from the A pillar.
    You'll now see the electrical connector. It has an orange release leaver on it. Pivot the lever back to release the connector. Now fold the rubber tubing back down the loom to expose the wiring.
    See if you can see any damaged wires. The indicator circuit is a black wire with a white stripe.

    Hi all, thanks jim for the advice..

    i i noticed a lot of the wired were spliced to i ordered a new mirror unit.. IV come to fit it but it doesn't seem to be working either, I'v taken the door card off and plugged into where the old mirror was but it doesn't seem to be working.. I'll upload a picture if anyone can give a bit of advice it would be greatly appreciated as im kinda going insane here! Lol thanks guys and girls! ben
