Mysterious fault code

Hi

due to an engine fault (keeps going into limp mode) have had my cars fault codes cleared and following a drive I have got one fault re showing - UOCD2

i can not find out what this code means, any suggestion welcome

the car is a 2010 Ibiza 1.6 tdi

Get it to a audi/vw specialist and get it scanned with VCDS to get an accurate diagnosis.

Network Communications ("U") codes (controller area network wiring bus and modules)

The OBD II system monitors all of the emissions-related functions in your vehicle, including the ignition and fuel systems, engine misfires, catalytic converter, evaporative emissions (EVAP) control system and various other emission control systems (EGR, PCV, etc.). Many of these functions are monitored anytime the vehicle is driven (continuous monitors) while others are only monitored when certain operating or driving conditions have been met. The OBD II system may run certain self-tests (such as checking for fuel vapor leaks) periodically.

If a component or system is not operating normally within acceptable limits or fails a self-test, the OBD II system records one or more "Diagnostic Trouble Codes" (DTCs) that correspond to the fault, and turns on your Check Engine Light to let you know there's a problem.

Hi many thanks for your very informative reply, can you suggest anyway of me being able to identify which component might be giving me the fault that I have. Now that I have the fault codes cleared the fault has gone away, at the moment.

The fault was the glowplug light cam o flashing and the power went down ie no turbo, some times if I turned the engine off and on it cleared the fault for the rest of the day. This only lasted for a week then engine light came on and the fault was permanent. The car has done 48K miles and has lived on t motorway for the 18 months that I have owned it.

Think you need an OBDII tool to do a diagnostic check of that UOCD2 Code!

Alternative you can take it to any good Mechanic for that test!
Would cost about $65 Aussie not sure in GBP.
