If so, I could do with some help! I'm trying to retrofit the lighting pack to my 2012 A6, and so far have fitted the external door handle LEDs and the light bar that illuminates the door trim. These are wired to the door control module as per the OEM wiring diagram but aren't working, probably because the car needs coding. However, there aren't any VCDS labels for the door control modules, and I'm not sure what other modules might need coding (cent elec, cent convenience?) as well.

If anyone with the lighting pack could post their coding, or if you have any other ideas what I might need to setup that would be really useful

For reference, my car is an MY13 Avant with Tech pack, HUD, Heated front seats, Pre sense basic, Lane Assist and LED headlights.

My current coding is as follows:

    Code:

I've got both QQ1 Interior/Exterior Lightning package and QQ2 Ambient Lighting. Here's the relevant bits from a VCDS scan:

Thanks all - I'll compare those codes to mine and see if I can work it out!

Westyfield2 - what model A6 do you have and what options? Might help me narrow down the search.

    A6 Avant S-Line 3.0TFSI Quattro S-Tronic

Can't remember all the options; it's got the big ones of Tech Pack, Bose, etc but also loads of weird little ones like Quad Climate, Heated Seats, Interior/Exterior Lightning package, Ambient Lighting, CD Changer, Ski load, etc.

Thanks everyone for your help - I've got it working, on the front doors at least. I now have two door handle LEDs and two door trim light bars.

If anyone ever tries this retrofit, the coding is:
All door modules: Change Byte 2 from 1C to 1F (this is all you require for the light bars)
Cent Elect module: Change Byte 16, bit 7 (counting from the left) to 1. My coding went from 4F to CF, a standard car with no options would be 0F to 8F.
None of these are labelled in VCDS.

Both lights connect to the door control module. The light bar goes to pin 8 on the 32 pin connector and the door handle LED goes to pin 5 on the 6 pin connector.

Did you manage to work out if keyless entry is possible to retrofit into the doors?

BTW, Rosstech are happy for people to email them with new items they've found and will update VCDS with appropriate labels.

I wasn't looking to do it so I don't know - you'd have to look up what parts are required. I couldn't see anywhere to clip a sensor onto my door handle so you'd probably need a different part there (keyless cars have a chrome strip on the handle from factory too)

It looks possible in theory; the handle is easy to remove (providing you ignore Audi's instructions!) and getting wires from the back of the handle to inside the door isn't too bad either.

Nope... check my VCDS log discussions in the sticky.. seems that keyless entry also needs a number of extra antenna in the boot etc. plus some other module programming that you may not be able to do if those components are not present.
Tried it and we could not see an obvious path
Not to say that it ain't there... let me know if you work out how to do it
