    Hi all

Just wondering if the above upgrade is possible?

I did something similar on my C5, so is this a straight swap with carriers and discs or is it too complex?

    Thanks

It depends on what calipers are on the car. Add a photograph

Thanks for the reply. But if I am looking at changing calipers & carriers does it matter at what I am running now?

*** Oops my bad, didn't mention that in OP

All variants of carrier on our model are removable.

A quick search in EPC reveals our 3.0 TDi has same Link:- item 13 as the 8/10 cyl, perhaps even 385mm is doable?

This discussion of brake upgrades has happened a few times and each time my mind says what about coding ABS to have knowledge of brakes upgrade?

Did once have a google but not seen anything and keep forgetting to check via VCDS if there is a helper balloon/info in there.

That's what I thought, but I started questioning myself.

I do think you are right, considering fitting S/RS 6 set up

From my research and discussions none is needed, as even the master cylinder is same size (but prepared to be proved wrong).

As soon as I find some calipers I will give it a go. I fitted 312mm set up on C5 and was so much better, and think the same will be happen on C6.

Worth giving it a shot, let us know if you find anything.

Ok little bit more research. The RS models have a fixed carrier (not a replacement part), but the S6 is a removable carrier. So looking for a S6 set up then.

I spent a long time looking for a used set of s6 brakes and have up in the end, they're like the rocking horse doo doo lol.
I'm still looking into fitting 18z calipers to my extexisting 347mm discs with custom carriers that way disc and pad replacement is still cost effective
