don't know why, don't really know how.... but my boss got out of the passenger seat last week and his hand on the dash by the side air vent slipped and his finger nail scratched the dash..... how much pressure was on his hand for gods sake ?
even after having a TT since 08 I DO NOT get scratches on the interior at all.... some people are so careless with other people's possessions... his attitude was it's not so bad, you worry too much - he said shaking his head and smiling !!

Can anyone recommend a way of repairing it, I can really only see it from driving position but I find it really offensive.

I thought I had a scratch on my dash recently, but a hot cloth got rid of it. No idea what it was but all gone now. Is it Defo a scratch and not just a surface mark?

thanks, I will try a hot cloth, but yes it's a scratch, I can see where the grain in the plastic is broken and I have tried the normal cleaner to wipe it off.

It's actually painted, so any smart-repairer will be able to fix it. Probably €20 tops.

    These things happen.

I was at the Audi TT Owners Club meeting at Beamish 3 years ago and I parked up and another TT parked next to me. It seemed to be a long way away. The small woman passenger in the other TT threw her door open (she was too small to move the door any other way I think) and left a 1cm x1mm deep dent in my door. Right on the swage-line. I has it smart-repaired the following week for £60 and it was fine. You can get your blood pressure up or you can keep some perspective. After all, you could be getting shelled in Donetsk or threatened with decapitation in Kurdistan.

I will try that route, I have found a couple of specialist interior repairers.
yes it does happen, especially with folk who just can't take care, I must admit I am a bit OCD with anyone getting into my car - since someone marked the interior of the pillar with a case I don't let anyone put their own stuff in the boot......
