Car model: VW Polo Classic (sedan) 1998 diesel 1.9 SDI.

I have an issue with regards to the alarm/central locking but I'm not sure if this is the correct section to post it. Please bear with me.

I have the following alarm installed (I have this key fob):

When turning on the alarm my car used to lock itself and the indicators would blink three times. After fiddling with the fuse the indicators stopped blinking (but the car still locks). I told my car electrician about this and after testing out a couple of things he told me that possibly it could be that the alarm system needs a reset. He tried pressing the buttons on the key fob for X number of seconds with/without the key engaged but he couldn't fix the issue. He said I should try finding a way how to reset the system online, maybe through a manual or asking if someone knows what to press on the key fob.

Any ideas? I just need to get the lights to work again when turning the alarm on or off.

    Thanks!

PS: A red light flashes when I press on the keyfob, which means the batteries are running out on the key fob. Could this have a bearing on my problem too?

I found this, but I am unsure which one of the functions is the "reset". Any clue?

There's a slightly more comprehensive manual here > JayCorp Technologies - SPAL AS80 Remote Entry Kit < which, if I've read it correctly, explains how to enable certain functions, one of which is the indicator flash.

Section L 6 also shows you how to reset programming.

Considering selling my VCDS KEY-USB interface. If you're interested please contact me via PM or email.
