Has anyone experienced the car hunting whilst driving along slowly at about 10-15mph in 2nd gear. I also noticed it does it occasionally when on cruise control at higher speed you can feel and see the revs pulsing slightly as I am driving along. IThe car has done 102K miles. Does this sound familar to any one and if so what was the method of repair.

    Thanks

    Martin.

Had something similar with mine. Turns out the lumpiness at low speed was just the DPF doing a regen. Take it for a good 20 minute blast at 2.5-3.0k revs, hold a lower gear if necessary on the motorway.

If that doesn't clear it (for a while) then you need code scan as Crasher says.

Presumably the car has had its regular DSG oil and filter change at each 40k? It's not uncommon for poorly maintained DSG units to experience problems such as clutch ring slip (you have multiring clutch packs in the 6 spd DSG unit) or issues with the mechatronics that translate the electrical signals into mechanical movement of the gearing system. A failing Dual Mass Flywheel can also affect the gearbox.
