Look at this



Just swap the relay with the other 370 relay to see if the relay has failed.

Post up your engine code and gearbox type so that i look up the correct drawing for your car.

If the relay swap does not give back the instruments then you are looking at a J518 module fault as the relay coil grounds via this module.

If a J518 module fault then dig deep as the post on the net that i have seen quote over £1400 to have replaced, if you handy with tools this maybe less but a trip to Audi or a good specialist is needed for the CP removal.

Holy cr@p that just worked & I saved myself an expensive trip getting towed to the Audi garage! Car started straight away & component protection message has gone.
What does the other 370 relay do? I noticed an ESP msg flash up briefly on the dash.

My MVB 200 in module 19 is same as your MVB 001 in module 19, as my car is 2005 yours 2009, see how you had 0.0v at term 15?

Not sure if that tells me the ignition switch is fine or not!, I get no lights on the dashboard turning the key..

MVB 23 in module 05 would have shown you that IMO.

This was what I had been thinking but didn't wanna say as .

J518 function is master unit of CP , view ssp 326 page 19, so I think lack of volts term15/J329 was creating message but as just an owner!

Put the new relay in the J329 position to avoid the other relay failing.
370 relay Part No is 8D0591253.

Buy a new one even though a used one is £3 on ebay if it cost you £20 from Audi then its money well spent.

i just Google searched an Audi 370 relay that's how i got the no, right or wrong?.

Top work to yourself as this could have cost him loads.

SDC code/VAG descriptors don't work that way from what I've come across, some do others don't, very hit miss.

I'm just glad staffop1 got a good result, if I'd never had such a ball ache of a car I don't think I'd have been on forums! LOL
