Rear door unlocks - but doesn't lock again?

I have a 2004 Passat estate and noticed that one of the rear doors does not lock with either the remote
or using the key, but the other three doors do.
At the moment the door will lock manually by pushing the button down on the top of the door.
Has anyone got suggestions where I should start to look?

Its either the wiring to the rear door or the door lock module. Is it passenger side or drivers side? I ask this because I have a passenger side module for sale on ebay. One of the easiest way is to remove the door trim and metal door support. Unplug the wiring to the module and then plug the wiring to the new module. If it works then swap the module. If it does not work then its the wiring.

Hi. Typically, its the drivers side! Went to have a look at it last night. Seems to be okay now? Suspect it will reappear though
