AUDI A6 - SatNav CD Eject Lock on MMI 2G Basic+

Hi Everyone.
Hoping somebody may have an answer for this one! I've recently become the owner of a 2007 A6 Avant with MMI 2G Basic+ SatNav. I've stumbled upon the well-documented issue of the SatNav CD-drive eject button being locked.
A couple of local guys with VCDS have had a look for me, and both have found that the usual adaptation codes don't appear to work on my car, ie:

[37] - Navigation
Channel 068: Ejection Lock
0 = Eject Button active
1 = Eject Button inactive (Anti-Theft)

On my car, Channel 068 comes back with Error/Not Available.
Channel 067 to just eject the disc doesn't work either, but interestingly the disc can be ejected using:

[0E] - Media Player 1
Channel 064, Set to 1

So I was hoping somebody may have done this before, and knows of an obscure channel somewhere that will permanently unlock the drive! Or maybe it just can't be done with this particular combination/version of MMI Basic/SatNav?
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
