Tomorrow the 05 A3 goes into Hawcos bodyshop in Inverness to get a new front drivers wing. When I bought the car about two months ago I saw there was some bubbling on the arch area right at the top, and read that the perforation warranty was good for twelve years. Although there are no holes (perforation) I bet if you hit it with a scurf pad it wouldn't be too great, but the best I could get out of them was a goodwill offer with me having to put up a third of the cost. This is going to amount to around £150, as with their labour rate and a genuine wing they tell me it's a £500 job......
Since the rest of the car is in amazing condition with only the odd stone chip i reckon that now I've done the timing belt it should be good for a number of years yet.

I have seen new aftermarket wings for around £60 and am quite capable of doing the necessary (former panelbeater) but really cannot nowadays be bothered. Anyone else managed to get the full job paid for?

Lots of people have successfully claimed 100% repair, worth contacting Audi UK and stating how upset you are at the car bubbling.

    Thanks both!

Collected car on the same day as dropping off as up here it was a 100 mile + round trip. They had finished the wing prior to my arrival so it was bumper off and done in the afternoon. £150 thank you very much Sir!
