Bulb replacement in daytime running lights

Hi all,

Just wondered if anyone would know if i changed my daytime runners to an LED type bulb, are there any pitfalls? Looking through the lens it looks just like a normal bayonet type 21w rear tail light bulb. Any recommendations?

One of mine blew last month but weirdly I didn't get any warning message (It did show up on a VCDS scan). Was going to go for a cree type projector bulb but chose instead to fit a standard P21W.

My (perhaps misguided) logic tells me if it didn't spot the original bulb was blown then it surely wouldn't notice the lower draw from a SMDS/LED bulb?
