    Just out of interest, how much did 7th Gear charge for the fluid change? Mine is due and I'm shopping around. My local guy won't touch it.

    €235 aprox I think
    A6 2.0 tdi Auto 2008 Facelift.

    There is an awful lot of BAD information regarding the P178F code on CVT units …. If help is required I have a workshop dedicated to the repair of VAG CVT gearboxes

    Hi peterauto.
    I’ve encountered this exact same issue with 2009 Audi A6. I’d be interested in exploring a fix
