Hi All,i have an 02 passat 1.9tdi,of late there has been a clicking noise from the steering wheel and the horn goes off by itself.it clicks when driving but more noticable when turning, the horn will sound.have taken out the horn fuse but it still clicks, like a relay sound.Any ideas? knowing my luck its going to be costly.

There should be a collection of relays under the steering wheel column/knee trim.

No idea which is which though, sorry.

To investigate the problem the airbag has to be removed, there are 2 holes behind the centre of the steering wheel, a screwdriver has to be inserted into them to release the air bag unit.
There are precautions to be taken when working on airbags (could mess up you face if it ignites) may be worth paying a professional.
