    hi
I have first refusal on a one driver company car with about 108k on it. It has been really well looked after and looks the business, white my favourite colour. I'm not concerned that it is a bit underpowered as our current golf diesel doesn't even have a turbo. I'm bothered about big bills in the future with regard to the dpf and egr systems and anything else. Its already had new brakes all round. I will do the cambelt not long after getting it. I would want to keep the car 4-5 years, running it uptp 150 - 160k. Any thoughts on the this, the price isn't a factor as if its not low it won't be purchased. Thanks

If you know its been looked after by its previous keeper and the price is reasonable go for it.
I wouldnt be put off by the mileage as possibly done most of that stuck in 5th gear on the motorway.
I have had four bluemotions in the past and at present got one with 125k (but the 1.9 engine) and a better drive... softer clutch, lighter steering ,better gear change and less rattles with the miles it has done compared to my audi a3 cab with the same 1.6 engine you get in the passat above..(A3 uses the same platform as the passat)
Just check the dmf for any judder when taking drive..the rear tyres inside tread as they do suffer from saw tooth effect..And if you do get it change the headlight bulbs as the lighting is poor..Just sold one at 220k but was the 1.9..the 1.6 is the cr type engine with good reviews..The only problem I get with the 1.6 in the A3 (30k mileage) that it I get a tapping sound from the hydraulic tappets from cold which stops after a few seconds and my brother in law who has a A1 with the same issue..
Power wise not to bad for a 1.6 plus £30 to tax
