Taking the plunge

After looking for a few months I am finally ready to buy my first A8.
i am going for a 2005 3.0tdi Quattro sport. 65k miles, full Audi dealer service history.

In your opinion What should be on my check list when I go to view this car later this week?

Any tips and advice would be appreciated?

It would be good to know what components have been replaced on the car over the course of its life if any. They should have record of that.

My injectors went at 69K miles on my 2004 A8 but buying from dealer you would be covered by warranty of 1 year.

Something else to look out for are hidden electrical issues which are not necessarily obvious e.g battery drain from unknown electrical modules. I have read that even the audi dealerships can struggle to find the problem.

Ask if they can provide you with a full diagnostics scan with fault codes.

thats a good question to ask re components that have been replaced.
I have a basic vw/audi scanner which I will use to scan for fault codes.

Would they allow you to scan it before purchase? I am sure they would rather do it if at all?

The dealer selling the car is not an Audi Dealership.
i may be being naive but why would it be a problem for me to plug in a scanner and do a few checks?
if they have nothing to hide so to speak?
