Hi, I have a B5 1.9 TDI (2001) Avant. I need to change the drive shafts and I've found some good second hand ones but they are on a 1.8 turbo petrol saloon B5 (1998).
I am wondering if they would fit my car, Does anyone know?

I'm in the same boat. I've found a drive shaft from a 2002 Passat B5 Saloon 1.8 petrol (automatic) and wondering if it fits my 2000 B5.5 (facelift) TDi. Appreciate if someone can advice on this please.

thierry1>I think you'll need to look for the part from a 2000-2005 B5 model so 1998 model may be different. some expert will be able to confirm this.
