Hi, Its time to get the clutch replaced on my 2008 1.8t A4. There is a common problem with early B8 A4's with their throw out bearing, which makes the pedal squeaky and makes it difficult to put the car in 1st sometimes. Im sure that the car is still on its original clutch. I have 102k on the clock now so I don't think thats too bad for a clutch (with spirited driving off the lights ). Any ideas of what I should be paying? Also I'm in the Birmingham area anybody have any good Audi/Vw specialist?

    Thanks

Forgot to add that, Euro Car Parts have a LUK Clutch kit for £224, using the discount code clutch 15 at checkout. Is LUK a good brand?

    Thanks

LUK are a OEM Manufacturer. I'm not sure if they are still the supplier to Audi on the current generation of A4, but they certainly were for the B6.

So yes, they are a reputable manufacturer.

Thanks Embisix, random question but do you have any pictures of your car? Would love to see Sepang Blue on a B8 :-)

Hi SattyA4, uploading some pics is definitely on my to do list. What with this damn weather and the fact that it's constantly grubby as a result, I'm waiting for its first spring waxing.

If it's going public, it needs to look its best! :-)
