    Hi All,

I'm thinking about putting together a possible Audi meet in the next few months, for anyone thats interested??

I did post about it before, but it was removed very quickly for some reason, perhaps too much info??

Possibly looking at a meet in the next few months, possibly with a crossover of members from " another marque" not associated with VW......It'd be a chance to meet other enthusiasts, see some nice cars, maybe make a few new friends.

The biggest benefit aside from that is a possible visit to one of the ZF (GB) A rated suppliers / manufacturers in the UK, one of only 2 I believe, they're offering a factory tour, short presentation from the MD, Q&A session as well as laying on refreshments and finger food.

I haven't mentioned any names, added no links etc etc and am promoting no one, its simply a possible real benefit to those Audi owners that either want their transmission flushed / serviced or have issues and would like the best professional help possible.

If there's any interest, please add your name here and or pm me for more info

    Plans for the day;

Afterwards, for any of those that are interested, we will head on over to The Innkeepers Lodge / Toby Carvery at Strathclyde Park, carvery meal available for £5.99 plus drinks / refreshments etc

There should also be ample parking and would be a good opportunity to discuss the days events and a chance to get to know other members.

    Provisionally here from 1pm until 3pm - Innkeeper's Lodge - Strathclyde

Directions to ******* Transmissions - Google Map here - ******* Automatic Transmissions - Google Map

From M74 take jctn 2A and head for City Centre, just off the roundabout there is a set of traffic lights near STERLING, Turn right into Causewayside street and ******* is around 500 yards on the right.
    95 Causewayside st, Tollcross, Glasgow G32 8LT

Directions from ******* to Innkeepers Lodge / Toby Carvery - Google Map directions

Exit ******* and head back to the M74, head for Carlisle. Once on the M74 take jctn 5 ( A725 ) after the services and head for Strathclyde Park ( just off the roundabout )

Innkeepers Lodge is immediately on your right

Strathclyde Country Park, Hamilton Road, Motherwell ML1 3WB

I've spoken with the Manager at Toby Carvery and organised the use of the overflow car park at the rear. This is shared between themselves and Holiday Inn Express, should be room for around 30 cars and is seldom used so will be good for our needs.

Note - Anyone NOT coming on the factory tour is more than welcome to attend at Strathclyde Park for the meet event.

Thanks Gup / mark...........would love to see you guys there, be really cool to catch up.

I know its a million miles away and its unlikely, but dependent on dates / travel arrangements etc, you never know?

After I visit with the transmission shop on Monday, I should have a better idea of when etc.

I'm getting a service done on my auto box by them and hopefully will be able to take a few snaps and post more info etc * if allowed *

The pics may have a Jag in them and offend some people...lol

Your original post read like a promotional advert for all the companies involved and was removed by Eshrules to be discussed - the reason was appended to the original post for all to see.

Unfortunately we don't all get a chance to log on to VWAF every day and so the discussions were taking a little longer than normal.

The original post was in the process of being rewritten and a PM was being drafted however now that you've reposted, removing the advertising - which I suspect you already knew was the reason for the initial removal (hence your comments above) - the matter can be closed on our side and we wish you all the best with the meet.

Considering selling my VCDS KEY-USB interface. If you're interested please contact me via PM or email.

Thanks Sam and fair enough I guess.

Looking back on it, I perhaps can see where you're coming from, it wasn't meant as an advertising exercise by any means, simply a way of letting people know what was available re Transmission specialist services, mainly ZF related.......After all I thought with the amount of issues related that more than a few might be interested?

If it can make people aware of whats out there, if it can make peoples lives a little easier and perhaps save them a boatload of cash, well all well n good I thought.

ChA6dds - thanks for the support, it'd be great to meet you and catch up, although I know its unlikely, rest assured you'd be more than welcome mate

Once again if anyone is up for meeting like minded Audi owners, perhaps with a sprinkling of Jag owners thrown in for a car enthusiasts event, wit hthe added bonus of a factory tour of one of the premier and only ZF A rated supplier / remanufacturer in Scotland, please add your name or pm me.

    Thanks

Well, I'm going in to get my tranny serviced on Monday so it'll be a good chance to see their operation and get a feel for them, they are highly recommended and seem to have a great rep.

Currently we have around 14 members from the Jag boys looking to attend, I'm hoping that once I announce a definite date that more people may have a better idea of whether they can attend for sure or not.

    Thanks guys
