I've noticed something on my A4 but I'm unsure if it's normal for the car.

It's a 2008 2.0t and I'm finding that when I dip the clutch to change up a gear the revs still stay pretty high, usually not dropping much below 2k RPM.

Is this normal for the 2.0t petrol models?
I've had the car scanned on VCDS and it came up with a stored fault on the stop light switch and one for the clutch switch. Other than that there was nothing.

You listed the faults, brake and clutch switch. Replace those and problem solved

I will do, I'll get on to them tomorrow and see if they've got any in stock.
If they're anything like Mercedes, they'll have any amount of stop light switches available as they seem to break so often!

I managed to get a chance to sort this eventually!

I replaced the stop light and clutch switches, a total of £29 and about 15 minutes work. The car drives so much better now for it, thanks for the advice!

I just hope that any other fixes it needs are as easy!

Next thing to look at is the climate control that seems to have a mind of it's own
