1.9 TDi big oil leak from EGR vent holes

Scoup, stab, scrub and leave overnight in TFR, fit a new EGR and V157.

I owned 2 PD Passats, I did 200K in them, I had to clean the inlet manifold and replace the EGR on one, I also had to drain 1lt of oil out of the intercooler (I drilled a hole and tapped it to do this on services) from the same car. I never got more than a thimble full of oil out of the drain hole after that and the other passat never suffered from the same. I think its is either down to a very heavy boot or using the wrong oil. I agree re the mess it makes when you clean one, carbon and oil is a very penetrative mix, plays havoc with the manicure.

The biggest problem with this build up is your driving style! I had mine out once and had nothing to clean light thin layer of oil ...

Standart a4 b6 1.9tdi avb, 256 000miles most mine, own it for nearly 10 years .. never been in service except for tires i dont trust them.. Not sure what you mean with echo..

Ahh sorry, English is my third language..
I can confirm heavy leg has nothing to do with this.. All i have done is spirited driving..

Might be oil choice.. Cant believe Audi thinks this is normal..
