    I'm not sure I understand what you are asking for. The MP3 compatability this thread is refering to is the ability of the CD player to read MP3 cds.

    As far as I'm aware the only way to achieve this is to change the entire stereo for an MP3 compatable one.

    as the answer will be in there.

    Don't know what the Manuf date is but was delighted to find a little MP3 logo on the RCD500
