I doubt they would work with vcds software so they would be a waste of money. You can get an obdeleven bluetooth dongle which give you the ability to code most features, check and clear codes but its not as user friendly as VCDS

Ok so tried to do some coding tonight with friends VCDS and wanted to add needle sweep and boot close with key fob. Followed the instructions on here and neither option was available in the Long Code Helper. Any help appreciated. The below is what was in the LC Helper:

The boot coding isn't done in the long coding helper. It's done in adaptation (from memory).

The rest should work though, where you have the alpha numeric code in green in the boxes below the big number I yellow. Click in each one and the list of options you can activate changes. It also changes the wording on the left (byte 0, byte 1 etc etc)

    Does that help?

    Just a short info:

Today I've just made the MMI Version 942_4 upgrade in a local garage, but honestly I didn't found any difference between the new and the former MMI 770 version.

So most of those occourred on 10/10/16 or a few weeks earlier on 27/09/16.

    The fault frequency is 1.

So I would suggest that someone was doing something to the car on the earlier date, finished it off in the second date and didn't isolate the power. This will cause surges etc around the circuit giving the faults. The fact they have only occurred once seems to back this up too.

I would clear all faults and rescan and if I were a betting man I'd bet they won't return.

The fault from address 28 HVAC (heating, ventilation and air con) is the only one that doesn't fit with the above. Again though if you reset it and it returns, it will confirm there is a fault and can be looked into.

I think those aircon faults occured when you have the aircon control unit disconnected below the MMI, that might have been taken out in the past from some reason and codes not cleared. I had similar on mine recently when i was trying the rear view camera retrofit. copy the logs and clear them and deal with whatever comes back
