So I've just had my Westfalia towbar delivered from PFJones and I've almost got the bumper off. The first issue I've run into is trying to disconnect the (factory) parking sensor loom. It's cable tied along the inside of the bumper and I've followed the cable through the grommet into the right corner and up above the rear light where it goes forwards. However I was hoping to unplug it to prevent any damage, anyone know where the plug is?

    OEM sensors or aftermarket?

    Saloon or Avant?

Why not just unplug each sensor if that would help?

In the right hand wheel well, just pop off spare wheel tool cover and it is sitting on the wheel arch.

Thanks Dan, I'll look again in the morning. I traced it all the way from the grommet towards the front and I can't see anything. I guess I could unplug each sensor but I'm worried I'll break a clip seeing as it's about 2°C outside.

If you told us the above I can direct you to the PDC module if OEM.

It's an OEM system on a 2008 saloon. I'll try again when it's light.

I never found a plug, just unclipped all the sensors which was fairly easy. The same can't be said fit fitting the towbar, it took most of the day!

I bought a A6 C6 Avant with aftermarket parking sensors (rear). They didn't install a relay so I get every 30 seconds a beep (check bulb I assume). Does anyone here have a proper connection diagram for wiring such an aftermarket kit (the standard cheapo eBay one)? Thanks and much appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Mark
