Weel today my A5 3.0 TDI became an amphibious vehicle as apparently i was sailing in the english channel. They didn't tell me the car could do water as well? Anyway i went straight to the Audi garage in exeter and the only booking i could get is in 8 days time. After reading this forum and thread i am disgusted with Audi as this is clearly not an issue that is going away and i fully intend to lay all this at their feet when i take the car in to be mended. They haven't said anything about repair time or anything just that i bring it in on the day. if they have to take the roof lining off to replace the GPS they they better do an excellent job as i brought this car from brand new so i expect it back in perfect condition. Can any of you guys who have had this repair done say anything about the repair IE was it completed o time and any issues afterwards? Thanks in advance. Now i will continue to row my way back to the english coast and find a landing point.

Do let us know what that particular dealership charges for courtesy car insurance waiver, not sure anyone on here has been there before.

Oh, and stand your ground on paying it, tell them to shove it, although it sounds like you're in the right mood to do that already.

I know but it's not what I expect of an almost brand new Audi. If this is a normal occurance what else can I expect to go next?? I would not have known anything about the possible repairs they will do if I had not looked it up on this forum.

The car is under warranty, don't worry about any repairs.

Every cars have their faults, Audi aren't excluded you know. Some cars (all makes) can have problems from day 1 they leave the showroom.

You're asking a lot to have a fault free car!

It always seems to go wrong at precisely the time you need it most lol. I shall be using my iPhone to navigate up north next week staying clear of any water lol. Thanks for the advice.

Welcome to Audi. It went wrong, they're fixing it. End of.
