    Hello to all:

Sorry open a Thread about this, has been read and coment in other similar, but cannot get help in my area.

I have bought a SAT NAV RNS-E 193G + GPS Antenna system for my A3 and although I am happy to try and install it myself I understand I need to get the VCDS code updated to make it work.

I am also happy for some to quote to fit and install the unit and update the codes, but I am unable to find someone to help?

I have tried my local Audi VCDS guy from the forum map, P&P autos, but they back as we not getting involved with radio and GPS systems.

If any could offer any help I would really grateful, I am in Bridgwater, Somerset and would happily drive a fair distance to get it done?

my car came with BT and Tel. Prep. also DVD 2014 maps and SDS files.

know is possible add SDS via 2 wire repairs.

    Any thoughts please?

    Thanks
    Alex

Glovebox is easy, just 7 8mm bolts. Can't do anything wrong believe me.

I'll send him a PM and give him this link.

    Hey Alex!

Happy to help, weirdly was in Bridgy at East Quay today as my kids were at the Dentist.

Never done any coding whatsoever so Chris may have to help with it (he's offered this remotely).

As to the fitting there's a guy I think out your way called carl who owns a company called Carltronics (or somesuch)

Will PM Chris and you my contact details and send you a visitors one, problem is tomorrow and Fri am pretty busy ad my understand was that it had to be fitted to be coded (but could be wrong on that front)?

Needs fitted to be coded, but it will work without coding for the meantime. Your bluetooth may not work (if fitted of course) until coded correctly but the headunit itself will function as it should.

Will look at the coding tomorrow and ask you a few questions about whats currently in the car which will make Marks life a bit easier!

You can PM Alex, but he can't reply just yet
