    Chris,

We cleared it and restarted the car and the engine light came on immediately. Silly us did not re-scan but I am taking it that the same faults must be there though for the light to come back on?

Unfortunately I wont be able to rescan it as I have come back home now.

Means then you need the repair kit documented a few times on here -

    etc.

    Chris,

Very kind of you. I have ordered the repair kit. The fault is on bank 2. Is that the easily accessible one or the hard one? Just my luck if it's the hard one. I ordered two, my thinking being that I may as well replace them both as Gupsterg mentioned they are a slightly improved design on the original.

    Thanks.

No idea as mine have been replaced a few times under warranty so need to get my fingers dirty

Have a look through that thread(s) and see what they say.

I wanted to create a new topic but I think I can sneak in here too His Emission Control System light has come on 57 346 miles or something... Mine Emission Control system light came on 57 300 miles or something the 1st time. I scanned, cleared, the light was of for 300 miles then it came on again after lacking the turbo. Engine switch off, switch on, turbo works fine again. That happened only 10 times and never again. Now 58 000 miles or something the Emission Control System light came off ITSELF (itself) I didn't scan or clear anything after the 1st time. I believe that the Emission Control System light can switch off by itself. My problem is the turbo, I'm still investigating and I may create a new thread for that matter if the light comes on ever again

The light may go off but the fault is still present, the car doesn't automatically fix itself you know.

Your statement "lacking the turbo" means the car has gone into limp mode and needs investigation.
