    Hi guys,

Just seems something on Wheeler Dealers and seems interesting. It's a waterless coolant that's does not ever need changing. What are your thoughts?

You can't go wrong with good old G13, but as science and technology grow I think it's a great idea, the freezing point is -40c and boiling point is 180c, not only that there is no pressure in the system and no more rust within the system which is usually the cause of water pump failures. But each to their own I guess

I think the problem is you have to get 95% of your current coolant/water out of the system as the Evans stuff won't be affective below 95%

With what's held in your matrix that's pretty difficult...unless you want to physically flush through with Evans 'prep' fluid which I'd imagine is quite expensive? Actually am going to get a quote on my Jag and see how much it costs to have it done!

Was sure there was a post on here previously about the product that Jim was involved in

normal coolant needs changing, around the same time as your timing belt which involves normally changing the water pump, as they do wear out. radiators also fail, pipes burst, heater matrixes need changing, head gaskets go. all these mean dropping the coolant, so this stuff really is trying to reinvent something that really doesn't need reinventing.

So you not going to stand there with a bucket and sieve to save the stuff then Zoll?

Question is would these bits break less often using that stuff..am guessing too early to say since it's such a niché market.

Imaging etrying to explain to someone buying your car 'And remember it never ever needs coolant but if it does only use this special stuff'. They'll think you completely mad and that you don't change any fluids on your cars!

Lol mark, just give them the brochure. I think Jim was talking about Terraclean. Also if this stuff prolongs the life of your coolant system then £100 is well worth it IMHO. Also it doesn't ever needed to be change either. But I guess once tried and tested we can be sure it isn't snake oil.

I think it's more snake oil. I'd imagine Ed is endorsing it for a nice fee? I replace coolant every 2 years and it would still work out cheaper if I changed it annually than using this stuff. I'm thinking Zollaf is right this is another wheel.

You would still have to change it if your model has a timing belt as the pump would have to be replaced.
