    Hi everyone,

This is my first post on this forum so be gentle!!

Purchased a 3.0tdi yesterday with memory seats. I can select the on/off button on the door and the light works. When I press the set button, the light does not illuminate. Pressing 1 or 2 does move the seats and mirrors so it must have been set at some point.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Welcome to VWAF

Have you checked the user manual? Could be a step you're missing.

Welcome! Nice to see another 3.0TDI Special Edition.

The profiles can also be stored for each key which is normally easier. So that as you unlock the car it moves to the correct position.

    Procedure is:
    - go to CAR menu in MMI and select Seat Adjustment, Drivers Seat, Remote control key -> ON

You can also store a profile in the 1 and 2 buttons:
    - set seat to position you want
    - press SET and wait for it to light up
    - press 1 or 2, should hear a beep

The pressing 1 or 2 will make the seat move to the stored position.

Pressing OFF stops the seat recall function working.

Hi Dave,Thanks for the detailed steps. I have already tried that but the issue is with the Set button not illuminating. I think there may be a fault.

I had a similar problem on mine last year. Followed instructions to the letter but Set would not work. Had a local guy do a fault scan and found there was an intermittent low voltage to the door control module. He cleared the fault code and memory seats have been working fine now for over a year. So I would get a fault scan done. There are guys on the forum that may be near you who can do this.

Thanks for the help. Anyone in the Watford/Harrow area?
